Social Sports Foundation, a Kolkata based registered Trust in collaboration with Federation of Film Societies of India (Eastern Region) is going to host a full-fledged and country’s first ever International Sports Film Festival in Kolkata from 22-25 June, 2023. The festival will be 12th such independent effort in the world map as “International Sports Film Festival of India”.
The festival has been named as “BULLS EYE FESTIVAL” as the logo represents the common terminology in sports and the involvement of mass in sports to raise the ray of lights of win against all odds in society.
The inauguration ceremony will be held on 21st June evening at Dhonodhanye Auditorium in kind presence of the different distinguished Guests. Shri Parambrata Chatterjee, the renowned Actor of Indian Cine world, has given his kind consent to inaugurate the Festival along with other probable actors like Shri Barun Chandra, Shri Badsha Moitra, Smt. Pauli Dam, Miss Ritavari Chakraborty etc. From the Sports fraternity Shri Manoj Tiwari, the renowned Indian Cricketer who is eventually MOS- Sports & Youth Affairs, Govt of WB is expected to be present in the Inaugural Ceremony.
Some more eminent Sports personalities are also expected to be present at the Ceremony as well as in the Festival Venue. Shri Aroop Biswas, MIC-Sports & Youth Affairs, Shri Sujit Bose. MIC-Fire & Emergency Services as Special Guest. Shri Atin Ghosh, MLA & Deputy Mayor, KMC & Shri Debasish Kumar, MLA & Member, Mayor-in-council, KMC as Guest of Honor will grace the occasion.
Around 200 distinguished guests from different sphere of the societies like, Players, Sports Administrators, MPs & MLAs, IAS & IPS’s Foreign Consulates, Business leaders & representatives of Corporate houses will be present during the mega opening ceremony.
During the inaugural ceremony on 21 June 2023, the organizing committee of the Festival is also going to recognize by felicitating some extra-ordinary sports personalities who have served in the grass-root level in different districts of the State for more than decades as well as in Indian Sports arena.
Festival to screen 12 movies during the 4 days long festival between 22 to 25th June 2023 at NANDAN-III in complete non-commercial format in collaboration with Federation of Film Societies of India (Eastern Region).
Among those 12 Movies, 4 in German, 1 in Malayalam, 2 in Hindi, 1 in English & 4 in Bengali (3 from India & 1 from Bangladesh) to be screened.
Before screening of each Movie, there will be a brief Felicitation Ceremony to introduce two sports identity of different sports discipline with National/International fame with the audiences.
