Boutiqart Younique Mela was held from 28 – 30 April at ICCR Kolkata. An e-commerce portal ‘Kumortuli Online’ hosted by IDEARCRADE also was launched. This is for the first time that works of Kumortuli artisans will be available online. The inaugural occasion was graced by eminent writer Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay.
The event showcased exquisite art and craftwork, featuring a diverse range of artists, weavers, boutiques, and artisans from different creative hubs of West Bengal. It provided an excellent opportunity for networking with other professionals in the industry. This was an opportunity for exhibitors, artists, artisans and creative entrepreneurs to know about the GOVT policies. Panel discussions on relevant topics such as ‘future of creative commerce in India’ and ‘Is art export a challenging ordeal’ were organized.
The noted theme artists of state, idol makers, artists, artisan representatives participated in a panel discussion ‘future of Theme art beyond Kolkata’, hosted by well known film director Debasish Sen Sharma.
