George Telegraph Training Institute Organises a Placement Fair

The George Telegraph Group has commenced its operations in 1920 and since then it has been dedicated to the empowerment of youth through training in vocational trades. The Institute has come a long way since its inception. On 21st April the Institute successfully conducted a placement fair with hundreds of students and many recruiting companies participating in the placement fair as part of the “Banglar Nabajagran, Bengal Rising 2.0” event organized by Bengal Business Council. This placement fair offered job opportunities to students in the field of BPO, Retail, Back Office, Sales & Marketing and Financial Stock Market.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Avishek Auddy, Chairman of Bengal Business Council, said, “GTTI is a 103 year old heritage organisation and is the pride of Bengal. The fact that they are helping their students get jobs is extremely commendable. The journey of an 103 years institution such as the GTTI needs a special mention in the education landscape of India. On this occasion, I once again congratulate the entire team of GTTI for their esteemed service to the youth of Bengal throughout its 103 year old history.”

The George Telegraph Institute has dedicated Corporate Communications Cell and the Placement Cell. The Corporate Communication Cell maintains a close liaison with various industries to facilitate placement of students after completion of their courses. This cell also arranges hands on trainings/internships for the students in different industries to make them job ready candidates as per industry standards.
