The Golden Jubilee Reunion of past and present students of former Bengal Veterinary College and Faculty of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (under BCKV & WBUAFS) was organized at Belgachia campus of West Bengal University of Animal & Fishery Sciences on 10 &11 January. Along with the reunion a national symposium also was organized.
The two day grand event was inaugurated with lighting of lamp and hosting of reunion flag by senior veterinarians and government and university officials.
“Veterinarians from different part of the state and India have come to join this reunion. We all will discuss challenges and possible ways to face those challenges which are being faced by the practitioners. On second day we have an important discussion on the deadly disease called ‘Rabies’. The discussion will inform us about an very crucial research update. Good news is that Rabies no longer will be a fear factor”, said Prof. Dalim Kumar Nandy, President of Organizing Committee.
“More than 800 members of alumni have assembled to join this Golden Jubilee Reunion”, said Dr Sourav Chandra, an ex student and presently working at the university.
The campus was in a full mood of celebration with exhibitions, cultural events, foods and joy of reunion.
